"Myself and pup Ru recently completed the puppy foundation course and were very happy to have been taught by Michelle @newforestdogtrainingacademy, we couldn’t ask for a better training class. Michelle is just brilliant. She's clearly a very experienced, knowledgeable dog trainer, who's calm, kind and relaxed attitude coached us humans to bring out the best in our pups" Karen Church
What our clients say about us........
"Hi Michelle,
I just wanted to say a huge thank you for running such fantastic classes and for your help and support. I have had an absolute blast and I know Kaiser has enjoyed himself.
We can’t wait to come back again after Christmas.
We have learnt so much and will continue to put all those things into practice.
Kind regards
Emma "

1-2-1 Training - Not all dogs benefit from classes
1-2-1 & in-home training sessions.
Not every dog (or owner) benefit from group lessons and like humans, every dog is unique in character and temperament and what applies to one dog does not necessary apply to another and hence the speciality of our 1-2-1 sessions allows for each session to be tailor made to focus upon the needs of you and importantly your dog.
Not all dogs enjoy being in a hall environment, so 1-2-1 training in the comfort of your own home, garden or in a pre-arranged outdoor venue where the problem behaviours occur such as the forest and beach can be a pleasant alternative.
The duration of 1-2-1 sessions provide a practical and effective alternative, offering dedicated time to ensure that you can implement all the training and that you understand your new exciting training journey!
If you have just taken on a rescue dog, you may find that our one to one sessions provide you with the level of help and training advice you need.
What can a 1-2-1 training session help with?
Depending on your needs, a typical session may cover areas such as
-
Walking on a loose lead
-
Coming back when called- Recall training
-
Polite greetings (not jumping up to say hello)
-
Wait and stay
-
Confidence building
-
Impulse control exercises
-
Training with distractions
-
Whistle training
-
The list is endless!
We strongly believe that no dog is ever too old to learn, and, in our experience, you can teach an old dog new tricks!
